COMING SOON TO THE GROVELAND LIBRARY: BOOK TALK
Once a month, interested librarians and patrons will get together for a casual evening to discuss their thoughts on books they have read.
This is not meant to be in the format of a traditional book club where only one assigned book is discussed. This is an opportunity for avid readers to share their honest thoughts and opinions (positive or negative) about any recent books read, favorite books, etc. There are no expectations, no book reports and no homework necessary.
Please feel free to come and enjoy the opportunity to meet people from the community and share ideas.
If you have an interest in participating, please e-mail:
[email protected] or fill out sign up sheet at the library.
Please indicate what weeknights would be best for you and preferred time of evening.
Thank you. Hope you join us!

Library Services
Reading together is one of the most important things you can do to help your child become a successful and happy reader. Our library has been given a set of books entitled “WE BOTH READ.” It is specifically designed for a parent and child to take turns reading. It will be a great set of books for four- and five-year-olds getting ready to go to school. This series would come before the “Step Into Reading” books that have been set at different levels. Almost any book can be read together as long as the text is simple enough for your child to read, but this particular set of books is designed for that purpose. We will also have a sheet of “Tips For Parents” that came with this set of wonderful books.
Stop in to see not only this series of books, but the up-to-date reading material that we have for all ages from baby to senior citizen. One of our volunteer librarians will be happy to show you around our neat little building and explain what this great library is all about.
