On Friday, January 20, 2012, Groveland Township's Board of Trustees lost their most senior member Barbara Hart. Barb had served on the Board of Trustees since May of 2001. She has been a loyal elected official for these past 11 years representing the residents of Creve Coeur as well as the rest of the township. During her tenure she has continuously fought for fiscal constraint and the need to spend tax dollars wisely. She championed the township's effort to help our less fortunate residents, and she strongly supported efforts to support our food pantries. She ulitimately became the township's "watchdog" for expenditures and frequently had questions about how dollars were being spent. She respected her colleagues and everyone enjoyed her quick wit and sense of humor. The Township has established two annual scholarships that will be awarded in her name. Barb Hart believed in public service. And her legacy will be that of a dedicated public servent.
