During Groveland's first-ever Pioneer Days carnival (Thursday, May 30 - Saturday, June 1, 2013) we will be conducting the Groveland Junior Pioneer of the Year contest for Groveland boys and girls ages 5-8.
Contest Overview: The main purpose of this contest is FUN, FUN, FUN for our Groveland kids. It will also provide a chance for the children to get creative and learn a little pioneer history.
The children participating in the contest will be judged on the following categories:
Awards will be given for the overall winner, first runner-up, and second runner-up.
Contest Location: The contest will take place on a stage set up beside the Groveland Library during the carnival.
Contest Time: Saturday, June 1 from 2pm-5pm
(this is the stage time we have allotted to us for the contest; the length of contest most likely will not be a full three hours)
There will be NO COST to enter your child in this contest. Each child entering the contest will be sponsored by a local business. We are securing all the sponsors for you.
