GOALS -----------------------------2011-2013
1. update technology opportunities to include, but no limited to:
a. New harware and software programs
b. Facebook Page
c. Update and revise the web page
d. Provide hardware, etc. for power point presentations.
2. Increase Fund b alances in certain funds such as:
a. Providing 2 yrs of operating costs for
General Assistance.
b. Providing 1 yr of operating cost for
Town Fund.
c. Providing 1 yr or more of operating
cost for the special funds--------------
IMRF, Insurance, Audit & Soc. Sec.
3. Enhance the township's efforts to provide for low-income residents by:
a. Providing additional funding &
support for food pantries.
b. Orgqnizing efforts to assist residence
during the holiday season.
c. Establishing clothing outlets to assist
needy families.
4. Establish some type of annual scholorship
for graduating seniors who reside in the township and show interest and initiative in local government.
5. establish definitive salaries & specific
fringe benefits for elected officials, and also establish qualifications and time commitments for the various officials.
THE goals listed above were informally approved by the Township Board on August 15, 2011 at the Board's monthly meeting. Goal #4 generated the most discussion and deserves to be discussed thoroughly before any implementation is planned.
