  We are having a garage sale at Heartland Christian Fellowhip on Friday, June 18 and Saturday, June 19 to raise funds for the mission trip to the Dominican Republic. We would greatly appreciate the donation of any "gently used and sellable" items for this cause and we would even be happy to do a pick-up of the donations! Good Afternoon Friends of Bread of Life Groveland Community Food Bank,

    We wanted to give you an update on the food bank as it has been a few months since we last reported and as we are fast approaching our first year anniversary. Wow, what a blessing it has been to see how the food bank has grown and to be a part of helping so many!

   We are so thankful to the Lord for His provision to the food bank and those He provides through so that we can supply staple and abundant food to households. In April we served 51 pantries representing 174 people and in May we had a record 57 pantries serving 186 people! We have also opened a Hospitality Room beginning in March where the people who come for food may sit, visit, listen to music and enjoy breakfast foods while waiting for their orders to be ready. It has been wonderful to be able to see the people encouraged in their hearts as they have more interaction with others and the people have been truly appreciative of the assistance they receive.

   As always we are so very grateful for dedicated volunteers who do what it takes to get the food here, repackage it, shelf it, box the orders, and deliver it to the people's vehicles; as well as those who run the check-in desk and help in the Hospitality Room. We are also thankful to all those who donate funds to the food bank, especially as the need increases and our monthly amount of food that has to be purchased increases, as well. Without the donations and volunteers this supply of food to families would not be possible.

   Please keep the food bank in your prayers and share our news with those who are in need of help as well as those who might be able to help supply.
